Avail
Serving the mission-minded: a non-profit’s brand & website refresh
Note: This project was completed under Creative Nomads
Avail is a faith-driven nonprofit that provides spiritual, emotional, and practical support for Christian missionaries around the world. While their mission was deeply rooted in compassion and purpose, their branding and digital presence didn’t fully reflect the clarity, care, and global impact of their work. I had the opportunity to lead this project from start to finish, guiding the brand transformation through visual identity, website experience, and design systems. I also oversaw the creative direction for various internal and external materials, including their stationery kit, PDFs, and marketing assets (which remain confidential and are not included in this case study).
The Challenge
Avail needed a complete rebrand that felt timeless, trustworthy, and mission-aligned, but also modern enough to communicate clearly to a global audience.
The key design challenges included:
Creating a visual identity that balances faith-based compassion with professional credibility
Redesigning a website that could clearly serve multiple user groups (missionaries, donors, and partners)
Unifying all visual assets under a single cohesive system—while ensuring the brand stayed rooted in humility and heart
My Approach
As the creative lead on this project, I focused on building a system that would grow with the organization, visually, digitally, and emotionally.
Logo & Identity: I reimagined the “A” to symbolize both a globe (representing global community) and a wing (representing movement and hope). It was a respectful nod to their legacy while modernizing the visual mark for scalability and meaning.
Website Design: I structured the site to feel both mission-centered and intuitive, with space for storytelling, resources, and action. Every page was designed to support engagement, whether it’s learning about the cause, donating, or getting involved.
Documents & Marketing Assets: Beyond brand and web, I led the creative direction for additional branded materials like PDF documents, presentations, and printed collateral. While these assets can’t be publicly shown due to confidentiality, they played a key role in unifying Avail Mission’s communications and internal tools.
